Unicorn Betsy - Ppinkydolls/Incy Wincy

Good morning!

I hope you all fair well out there in craft land!

It's my turn to present this week's challenge over at Incy Wincy and we are also introducing a new sponsor...Ppinkydolls and the lucky winner will receive 3 digis.

Ppinkydolls produce the most delicate sketched images. You can either colour them fully, add just a hint of colour (as I did with my DT make) or leave them as they are.

This week's challenge is a sketch with a simple layout...

...and here is my DT make...

What you need...

Digi stamp: Unicorn Betsy - Ppinkydolls
Digital card stock: white - Craftwork Cards
Patterned paper: Color Crush 6x6 Paper Pad - Ki Memories
Coloured pencils: Bruynzeel Design
Gems: clear
Ribbon: cerise
Decorative pins: black teardrop; pink heart
Rub-on: Hello - Pebbles Inc

What you do...

Re-size the image to suit. Colour in and trim. Mat onto pink paper.
Cover the top half of a 13.5cm x 15cm blank with green paper. Wrap ribbon around the join and tie in a bow at the right.
Cut a piece of floral paper to the same size as the image, and mat both to the blank as shown on the sketch.
Push pins through the knot of the bow, add a sentiment and a few gems to finish.

I decided to use coloured pencils this time to keep in with the delicate nature of the image.

The girls over at Incy Wincy are certainly keeping me 'challenged' lately as I don't usually do sketch layouts such as this one. I think it's good for us to get out of our 'comfort zone' every once in a while, don't you?

Have a peep at what the talented Design Team have created, grab some inspiration and have a go at the challenge. You could be the lucky winner of 3 Ppinkydolls digi images! Good luck!

That's me for the nonce, thanks for popping in! xx

Got Milk?

Afternoon lovelies!

I have a brilliant card to share with you today. I purchased the image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps, it's called Cow Humor - Got Milk?

It's for my nephew Tom. He works on a dairy farm and milks the cows most days, so I thought this would be cool to send to him as it's his birthday soon.

So, without further ado...

What you need...

Digi stamp: Cow Humor - Got Milk? - Bugaboo Digi Stamps
Digital card stock: white - Craftwork Cards
Card stock: blue, green, white
Dies: Clouds; Stitched; Stitched Frames - Paper Smooches
Promarkers: Baby Pink, Black, Cocktail Pink, Ice Grey 1, 5

What you do...

Download, re-size and print the digi stamp.
Colour in and cut out the cow.
Die cut a stitched curve and a stitched frame onto green card. Die cut a stitched curve in blue card and mat both pieces onto a top fold A6 blank.
Die cut the sentiment with the stitched frame. Insert the 'inner' into the green aperture on the blank.
Attach the cow with foam pads and add a couple of die cut clouds in white card.

Ta dah! Cool or what? It's so bright and cheery and it makes me smile. I do hope it will make you smile too. Thank you for dropping by! TTFN xx

Sup? - Grumpy Monkey - Dr Digi/Incy Wincy

Good afternoon!

I do hope you are all well and rested after the weekend.

We have another fabulous challenge over at Incy Wincy this week - make an easel card.

Our fantastic sponsor is Dr Digi. The winner will get two digis as a prize (you lucky thing, you).

Now then, I am not in any way a fan of easel cards, in any shape or form; so this was indeed a very big challenge for me.

I chose a brilliant image called Grumpy Monkey and here is what I did with this 'cool dude'...

What you need...

Digi stamp: Grumpy Monkey - Dr Digi's House of Stamps
Digital card stock: white - Craftwork Cards
Card stock: black
Patterned paper: Swagger 6x6 Paper Pad - Fancy Pants Designs
Promarkers: Black, Ice grey 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
Pearls: black

What you do...

Re-size the image to suit. Add the 'Sup?', print out and colour.
Create a 13cm square easel card.
Trim and mat the image onto black card and attach to the blank.
Create a sentiment, mat onto black card and fix to the base of the card with foam tape.
Add some black pearls to finish.

I just love the look on this guys face. If he wasn't saying 'Sup?' I think it would be 'What u lookin' at?' As it's a perfect image to use for a male card, I stuck with monochromatic tones of blacks and greys.

Why not pop on over to Incy Wincy to enter the challenge and have a look at the scrummy inspiration my talented teamies have created?

Thank you for stopping by, ttfn xx

P.S. I'm still not a fan of easel cards :o(

Presents Thank You Card

Hello peeps!

Hope you are all having a fun weekend.

I'm back with another of those teeny little Christmas pressie thank you cards, and here is the little fella...

The stars, border and presents are rub-ons by Kaisercraft and the sentiment is a Pebbles Inc Duplicates.

Just to add a little splash of colour, I added a few red gems. Cute eh?

I have one more thank you card to show you, so I'll be back later with that one. Until then, thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend :o) xx

Bauble Tree Thanks

Good aft'noon my lovelies!

Wow! We had some wind last night (no, not Simon & I). It was horrible. All I kept thinking about was my poor chickens!

Well today is bright and sunny and the chickens are fine and happily strutting around the garden. They are starting to lay again now that their annual moult has finished - whoopee!

As promised, here is another little Christmas pressie thank you card.

This time I used die cuts from the My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas Collection. This has got to be one of my favourite Christmas collections ever! I love these bright and cheery colours, the last couple of years manufacturers seem to have toned down the colours :o(

Bring the bright ones back I say!! :o))

The sentiment is one of the Pebbles Inc Duplicates and I added a few gems to finish.

There you go, another quick and simple thank you card using up stuff from my stash. I still have a couple more to show you, so I'll be later with those. Until then ttfn & thanks for dropping in.

Holly Thank You Card

Good afternoon all!

I'm back with another little thank you card. I sent this one to my Nan to thank her for our Christmas pressies.

Again, as with the Rudolph card, it's a little A7 (7.5cm x 10.5cm) and I used some stickers by We R Memory Keepers that I've had in my stash for years.

The stickers are lovely as they are embossed giving a bit more dimension. The WRMK collection was called Merry & Bright and had lovely pink, red, lime and navy tones.

I stamped the sentiment in Night Sky by VersaMagic and the 'thanks' came from the Many Thanks set by Paper Smooches. A few gems were added to add that bit of sparkle.

I hope you like my little card and will be back soon with another one. Thank you for popping in! :o)

Fairy Witch Rowenia - Aurella Art/Incy Wincy

Heevnin' peeps!

We have another fabulous challenge for you over at Incy Wincy this week, it's a colour challenge. We are delighted to have a new sponsor... Aurella Art!

There is a prize of 3 digis for the lucky winner!

Here is the lovely palette for colour inspiration...

Color Field - Design Seeds®
...and my take on it using Fairy Witch-Rowenia.

The colours look a tad more vibrant in the photo, they are more subdued in the real world! Isn't it gorgeous? The little dragon sold me on this one - so, so cute. He reminds me a bit of Spyro the Dragon (games that I have played many times).

What you need...

Digi stamp: Fairy Witch-Rowenia - Aurella Art (Nikki Burnette)
Digital card stock: white - Craftwork Cards
Card stock: amethyst
Promarkers: Almond, Marsh Green, Moss, Olive Green, Pink Carnation, Plum, Satin, Tropical Orchid, Warm Grey 1, 2 & 3
Ribbon: olive
Gems: green, pink, purple
Rub-on sentiment

What you do...

Re-size the image to suit. Print and colour.
Make a top fold blank 13cm x 15cm with amethyst card.
Trim and mat the image to the top of the blank.
Wrap and tie olive ribbon around the blank at the bottom of the image.
Add some gems and a sentiment to finish.

Ta da! There you have it. My Design Teamies have come up with some truly inspirational makes this week. Why not pop into Incy Wincy for a peep?

Thank you so much for stopping by. TTFN! xx

Rudolph Thanks

Hello! Me again!

Just a quick post tonight.

Last week I did some thank you cards with a Christmassy theme to send out to family and friends for our lovely Christmas pressies.

I needed to make them quite quickly and decided to use up some of the fab Christmas stickers and die cuts that I have.

They are little A7 sized cards (7.5cm x 10.5cm), perfect for a little thank you card.

The Rudolph and scallops are taken from the Everybody Loves Christmas Element Sticker sheet by Echo Park. The wording is a rub-on by Pebbles Inc. I just added a large red flat backed pearl for his lovely nose.

I will be back soon with another little thank you card. So glad you stopped by :o)

Speech Bubble Birdie

Happy Saturday lovelies!

I do hope you are all having a fab weekend so far. I've been busy today doing my DT make for the next challenge for Incy Wincy.

Simon has been in the garage all day, don't ask what he's up to. Last weekend there was a lot of 'buffing' going on. He is obsessed with making all the parts for Molly very shiny. She's got very shiny parts, but no body shell at the minute (away being sprayed as I speak - hopefully). I daren't go in the garage in case I get a good buffing too - ooer!

So! Onto a little card I made for Will my nephew. It was his birthday during the week and you know how it is to try and come up with a card for a teenage boy - aarrgh!

I got a lovely speech bubble die set for Christmas, Die-namics Say Hello by My Favorite Things. It has two dies, one with 'hello' in it and another that is just a large blank bubble.

Because of the size of the bubble I thought it would be fun to have a ridiculously small character saying happy birthday in very large letters. I scouted through my stamps and came across a fave set that I've had for years - Picoti Picota by Artemio. There is the teeniest little bird in the set that was just what I was looking for..

Anyway, I've waffled long enough, here is said card...

What you need...

Card stock: black, white
Patterned paper: Zip-A-Dee-Doodle 6x6 Paper Pad - Bo Bunny
Stickers: Zip-A-Dee-Doodle Combo Stickers - Bo Bunny
Stamps: Picoti Picota - Artemio
Dies: Die-namics Transformables-Say Hello - My Favorite Things
Promarkers: Duck Egg, Ice Grey 1
Punch: circle 5/8"
Gems: black

What you do...

Cover the bottom of a top fold blank with a 3cm deep strip of 'Meow' paper. Apply a length of black/white striped border sticker along the top edge.

Stamp and colour in the bird and punch out. Fix him to the left, tucking him just under the sticker.

Create and print out a sentiment, then die cut it out. Attach to the top of the blank. Add gems to the exclamation marks and three along the border a the right.

I love this collection by Bo Bunny, the colour palette is limited to black, white, blues and greens, there are a few flowery patterns and but most of the collection has some great designs suitable for male cards.

I am pleased to say that Will loved it. Success! I now have another teenage boy card to do for the end of the month for Will's brother Tom. Do you think he'd notice if I did him the same card but with a different patterned paper?

Probably.

I'm going to say ta-ta now. Thank you for calling by and enjoy the rest of your weekend :o) xx

Our fab sponsor this week is Bugaboo and the lucky winner can win 7 free digis. Yes...7!

Anyhoo, here she is...

What you need...

Promarkers: Bright Green, Cool Aqua, Ice Grey 1, Mustard Green, Pink Lobster, Pink Pearl, Purple, Satin, Silver Lining
Ribbon: purple

What you do...

Re-size the image so it is 9.5cm wide. Print and colour.
Trim up to the black border outline.
Mat to the top of a white A6 top fold blank.
Wrap and tie purple ribbon around the bottom border.

Isn't she great?

Cosmic Colours Challenge #9 - Warm Thoughts

Happy Sunday my lovelies!

Finally! I got to do my take on this month's colour challenge. I love the Christmas holidays, but it does throw your head out a bit regarding days and dates, I'm sure I'm not the only one :o)

I hope you all had a lovely time over Christmas and are ready and raring to go for another year of yummy crafting.

Without further ado do, here is a reminder of the colour palette...

Comfort Tones - Design Seeds®
and here is my card...

What you need...

Stamps: Breakfast Club - The Alley Way Stamps; Sentiment Sampler - Paper Smooches
Dies: circles
Embossing folder: Circle Background - Darice
Card stock: brown, pale pink, white
Ink pad: Onyx Black - Versafine
Promarkers: Duck Egg, Fresh Bloom, Rock Pool, Walnut
Washi tape: blue houndstooth
Buttons: blue, brown, pink
Baker's twine: blue, pink
Hemp cord: brown
Gems: pale blue
Adhesives

What you do...

Stamp a mug, shadow, sentiment and steam onto white card. Die cut into a circle. Stamp the mug again, colour in and cut out. Mat over the first mug with foam tape.

Emboss the circle background onto pink card, trim so it measures 10cm x 12.5cm and mat onto the top of a 12.5cm square blank. Add a strip of Washi tape directly under it.

Fix the image to a larger circle of brown card and attach to the lower right of the blank.

Thread and tie twine through the buttons and glue to the lower left of the circle. Add a gem to the heart on the mug and four to the steam.

Oooh!  This card puts me in the mood for a nice hot mug of cocoa which would be perfect today as it is cold, bright and frosty.

Click on the colour swatch above or here to take you to the challenge and the linky (I've also added a picture of my make to the challenge post).

Thanks for calling by and I'm looking forward to seeing all your scrummy designs. xx
