Holiday Cheer!

I've just popped by to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! I hope you are having a wonderful time! :oD

I'm absolutely stuffed now after a fab Christmas Dinner, I've not had the Christmas pud yet, but as soon as I have room I'm tucking in (with plenty of brandy and cream - yummy).

Before I go, I just want to leave you with some pictures of the card I made for Simon. I also made a matching felt tree decoration.

The card...

The felt decoration...

I used the stunning and absolutely gorgeous Sizzix Bigz St Nick die by Tim Holtz. He's adorable and so 1950's - love it!

Thank you so much for popping by and enjoy the rest of your Christmas, TTFN. xx

P.S. Don't forget you've still a few days to enter the Cosmic Colours Challenge #8, click here to enter.

Stamped & Embossed Cards (Crafts Beautiful Oct 2013)

A very festive hello to you all!

I have another back to the archives for you. This time it's a couple of funky cards I did for Crafts Beautiful last year for the October 2013 issue. The projects used stamping and embossing with a little 'snow heap and drip' illustration from me, which resulted in quite a comical card.

Here they are...

The stamp sets used were from Paper Smooches - Freezy Fellas and All Yule Need. The embossing folders used were D'Vine Swirls and Snowflakes by Cuttlebug.

The illustration of the snow heap and drip can be downloaded here from the Crafts Beautiful website, along with other fab patterns, templates and papers - all free!!!

Thank you for popping by and I will be back tomorrow to show you the card I made for my hubby, Simon this year. TTFN xx

Fun & Funky Christmas Cards (Crafts Beautiful Nov 2012)

Good heevnin peepsicles!

Woohoo! It's nearly Christmas! Some of you may be still making last minute Christmas cards, so with this in mind I thought I would delve into the archives and show the fun slider cards I did for Crafts Beautiful for the November 2012 issue.

The templates for the Santa and the robin card can be downloaded from the Crafts Beautiful website (click here to take you to the page). The Rudolph card used Christmas Reindeer by Hero Arts and the Snowman card used a mix of Swanky Snowdudes by Paper Smooches and the Hero Arts Christmas Reindeer sets.

Slider cards are a lot of fun and are quite easy to make. Of course, you don't just have to stick to Christmas cards; I remember doing a robot set for CB and one of the cards had a moving robot. If you don't know how to make a slider card, please contact me and I will do a post with the instructions for you :o)

Don't forget there are lots more gorgeous templates, patterns and papers to be found on the Crafts Beautiful website.

So! I'm going to say ta ta for now. I've got Christmas carols playing in the background, I need to light the fire and then I think I'll make a vat of mulled wine - bwah ha ha har!

Thank you for calling by and I'll be back later with another Christmas collection I did for a past issue of CB!

Swirly Snowflake Tree - Delicious Doodles/Incy Wincy

Good evenin' me lovelies!

I hope you all had a good weekend. We went up to Yorkshire to visit family and friends. I was okay until this morning and now I am sat here with a tissue up each nostril because I'm full of cold - grrr!

Any hoo! This week over at Incy Wincy we have our final challenge of the year, but we will be back on 5th January 2015!

The challenge this week is 'Anything Goes' and our fabulous sponsor is Delicious Doodles with a prize of 4 digis for the lucky winner.

I used a lovely image called Swirly Snowflake Tree

What you need...

Digi stamp: Swirly Snowflake Tree - Delicious Doodles
Digital card stock: white - Craftwork Cards
Card stock: red
Promarkers: Bright Green, Grass,  Ice Grey 1, Lime Twist
Dies: Plaque and Postage On The Edge Die (656628) - Sizzix
Glitter glue: Diamond Stickles - Ranger
Pearls: red
Rub-on sentiment: black
Baker's twine: red
Adhesives

What you do...

Stamp and colour in the image.

Trim so it measures 7.5 x 12.5cm and mat onto a top fold blank 7.5 x 15cm.

Die cut the postage border in red card, trim and fix under the image.

Wrap and tie twine around the join.

Add a sentiment to the bottom.

Highlight each snowflake with glitter glue and finish with a red pearl in the centre of each.

I think the Sizzix Plaque and Postage die is now discontinued, but any decorative edge will work just as well.

This is such an elegant design. Some of the girls on the Design Team have used the same image but with different colour schemes and all really compliment the tree. Check out the other fab creations by the Design Team on the Incy Wincy blog for oodles of inspiration.

Well, I am going to sign off now. Getting a bit miffed with the old 'schnoz' running and blasting away me hankies. I think I'll make a lovely hot drink, take a few pills, douse the nose in soothing cream and get into bed.

Take care and don't catch a cold will you? xxx

P.S. Hello June & Stephen! It was so lovely to catch up with you both! Hi Dawn! It was great to see you again! :o) xxx

Cosmic Colours Challenge #8

Hello again peeps!

Here we are with the last Challenge of 2014! Where has the year gone?

Scroll down to the last post for the Challenge #7 Winner and Top 3.

Well, let's get straight onto the Cosmic Colours Challenge #8. I have chosen a Christmas colour scheme again this month, but you don't have to do anything Christmassy though.

Here is the palette for this month...

Color Share - Design Seeds®
...and here is my take on it...

I used the Merry & Bright 6"x6" Paper Pad  and Element Stickers by Carta Bella. The red star border is from the Thinlits Christmas Trims (659912) by Sizzix. I used the waste stars from the cut to embellish the card. Very quick and very simple.

The creator of the winning card will receive some craft goodies and they can grab a Challenge Winner 'brag badge' to proudly display on their blog.

Three runner up cards will be chosen and they can grab the Challenge Top 3! 'brag badge' to proudly display on their blog.

There is also a 'play along' badge that you can grab if you wish. The codes can be found in the 'Cosmic Colours Challenge Badges' page.

The challenge will run until 31st December 2014 - 23:55 (GMT)

I am really looking forward to seeing what you come up with this month. TTFN! xx

Tra La La - All Dressed Up/Incy Wincy

Evening peepsicles!

Sorry I'm a bit late with the post for Incy Wincy, but I've been having trouble with the ol' laptop.

I thought I'd sorted it last night, but noooo, this morning it decided to play naughty. After wasting a day yesterday trying to sort it out, I then spent most of today trying to sort it out. Fingers crossed it's ok now.

Anyhoo! On to this week's fantastic challenge over at Incy Wincy. The theme is friendship and our sponsor is All Dressed Up and they are giving the lucky winner 2 digis!

All Dressed Up has some absolutely gorgeous images, I chose Tra La La, it's so adorable.

Tra la la! Done!

Aren't the characters cute?

Let It Snow

Evening my lovelies!

Today I would like to show you the last of the three cards I did using the TIm Holtz Halftone Christmas stamps by Stampers Anonymous. As with the other two, I kept to the same colour scheme.

So without further ado do...

 What you need...

Stamps: Tim Holtz Collection Halftone Christmas (CMS204) - Stampers Anonymous; Let It Snow - Penny Black
Ink pads:  Aquamarine - Avery Elle; Onyx Black - Versafine
Card stock: turquoise, white
Baker's twine: turquoise
Gems: turquoise
Adhesives

What you do...

In the top left corner of white card 9.5cm square, stamp the 'Let it Snow' sentiment in black ink.

Stamp three halftone snowflake circles randomly around the sentiment.

Over stamp with the snowflake detail in black ink.

Mount onto an 11cm square turquoise top fold blank.

Wrap twine around the top of the blank and tie in a bow at the right.

Add a few gems to finish.

Cards like this are great as you can rustle up a few in no time. Really good if you are behind on your Christmas card making like me (slap on the wrist Colette).

Every year I say I'm going to make Christmas cards from January, you know, just do a couple every so often. I never seem to get round to it. Maybe 2015 will be the year? Yeah, right!

Well, we'll see.....

Before I go, don't forget you still have 10 days to enter your lovely creations in this month's Cosmic Colours Challenge. Just click on the image below to take you to the rules and Inlinkz.

Holiday Sparkle - Design Seeds®
Thank you to all who have entered so far. It's going to be so difficult to chose again!

See you soon :o) xx

Ornament - Bugaboo/Incy Wincy

Afternoon chums!

I hope you all had a pleasant weekend.

We have another great challenge for you over at Incy Wincy this week, Purple & Yellow! Many of you will probably think that it's an unusual colour combo, but I like mixing up colours that you normally wouldn't use together.

This week's sponsor is the fantabulous Bugaboo Stamps!

The lucky prize winner will receive 7 (yes, 7) free digis! Wow!

I used the Ornament image. Here is my take on the challenge theme...

What you need...

Digi stamp: Ornament - Bugaboo Stamps
Card stock: white, yellow gold
Patterned papers: Frosty Friends 6x6 Paper Pad - Doodlebug
Die: Christmas Trims (659912) - Sizzix
Promarkers: Mustard, Purple, Sleigh Bell
Ink pad: Onyx Black - Versafine
Baker's twine: yellow
Stamp: Christmas sentiment
Jingle bells: purple, yellow
Adhesives

What you do...

Print two baubles, then copy & paste another, re-size so it is smaller than the other two, flip it over so that it facing the opposite way.

Colour one of the larger baubles in Sleigh Bell and the other two in Purple. Shade the hanger section in with Mustard. Cut out the baubles.

Cover the bottom of a white 12cm square top fold blank with a 4cm deep piece of yellow gold card.

Die cut the scallop border in purple dotty paper and stick to the top of the yellow gold panel.
Wrap yellow twine around the blank above the scallops, thread a yellow and a purple jingle bell onto the twine and tie in a bow at the left.

Arrange and stick the baubles to the top of the blank.

Stamp a sentiment in the lower right corner.

I decided to go with rich golden yellows rather than bright yellows. A very regal combination methinks :o)

For some terrific inspiration, why not pop on over to the Incy Wincy Challenge and see what gorgeous makes my lovely teamies have created?

Well, that's me for the moment. Thanks for popping by and enjoy the rest of your day. xx
